Cut the Rope: Experiments Goes Free to Celebrate New Level Pack Update

ZeptoLap has just announced the release of a new level pack for Cut the Rope: Experiments, entitled Handy Candy, which challenges players to maneuver robotic arms to help Nom get to the candy that he loves. Handy Candy has 25 new levels, and the unique new gaming element of robotic hands that challenge the player to catch, exchange and release candy, all at the same time as collecting stars and avoiding obstacles. The addition of the arms doesn?t mean the end of ropes in the game, just that users now have to move bionic arms instead of ropes in order to feed Om Nom. This is the third update for the game, and it also includes Retina display support for the new iPad, as well as various language localizations. The Handy Candy levels also feature the same gameplay elements from the Rocket Science and Bath Time packs, including rope guns, suction cups, rockets and underwater elements. You?ll also find new photos of Om Nom in the Professor?s Album, new achievements and a new leader board. To celebrate the new update, the game will be free to download, both iPhone and iPad versions, for a limited time.

Plants vs. Zombies Gets Major Update Including Zen Garden for iPad Version

Pocket Gamer writes today that Plants vs Zombies has just had a major update. For iPad owners, the first, and possibly most exciting new feature is the Zen Garden, which plays like a mini spin-off to the main game, and acts as a calm, reflective sanctuary, if you will, where you can nurture the different types of plants that are found in the main game, enjoying a tranquil time away from the endless zombie shuffle-n?-slaughter fest. To help you look after your plants, you can spend the coins that you?ve earned from taking down zombies to buy gardening implements and tools from Crazy Dave?s Twiddydinkies shop. The iPad version also gets four new mini games in the update: Slot Machine Zombiquarium, Portal Combat, and Beghouled Twist, with the latter two modes being spoof, zombified versions of Portal and Bejeweled, respectively, as if you needed me to spell it out for you, which you probably didn’t!

The iPhone version of the game also gets an update as well today, including a new gaming mode, Vasebreaker (also available on the iPad version), where you get to smash vases, as you might expect from the name!
