Nikky – Co-Owner / Aesthetician
I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It’s been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.
I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!
Sean – Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing! It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

They can see new patients, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and even prescribe medication. Most states do not require the doctor overseeing the NP or PA to be on site, although there are often distance and documentation requirements .
But don’t be shy! Ask about the NP’s experience, ask about his or her overseeing doctor, and ask to see all supporting documentation if you have questions. All of this should be readily available and, if it’s not, that’s a red flag you need to take into consideration. It depends on your state, but as a general rule, yes, that’s perfectly fine.
And don’t simply take their word for it—ask for their license number (all nurses are registered with the state), ask to speak to their supervising physician, and ask for references. These should be readily available. Typically, yes, but you should definitely do some research to make sure the event is safe and compliant (Where can I find Facial (Insta-glow facial) Kansas City).

What are HA Fillers exactly?
Juvederm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid fillers suspended in a gel carrier. This gel helps the injectable hyaluronic to remain in place. The hyaluronic- acid immediately pulls in water. In this way, it increases volume. This is great for moderate to deeper wrinkles and folds of the face or areas where more volume is desired like cheeks or lips. These fillers can be dissolved naturally, with most lasting for at least one year. Some may last even longer.
There are many options for HA Fillers. For subtle to dramatic enhancements, we’ve used both Restylane HA Fillers and Juvederm. More options. Customized results.
What are Neurotoxins?
Botox and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins that can temporarily help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox or Dysport temporarily weakens these muscle contractions, making the skin appear smoother.
Common treatment areas are the forehead, frown lines and Crows feet. While results may be visible within a few days of treatment, the process will take two weeks to complete. The effects of the treatment can last for up to four months if administered correctly.

Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. These results can last longer than two years.

The HydraFacial treatment addresses all skincare needs using patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate the skin.
HydraFacial’s super serums have nourishing ingredients that instantly give you a glowing complexion in just a few seconds.
The first step involves gently exfoliating the skin and cleansing it. A light chemical peel is then applied to the skin to resurface it and prepare it for painless extracts. The skin is then cleaned using painless suction. To increase the skin’s glow, antioxidants are instilled into the skin. The best part? There’s no downtime!
What is Dermaplane, exactly?
Dermaplaning uses a medical-grade surgical blade to remove the surface layer of dead skin, debris, and hair. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane is completely pain-free and non-invasive. While it looks similar to shaving, Dermplane is far more effective as the blade is able to reach the top of the skin. The hair will not grow back darker – dermaplaning targets vellus hairs (peach fuzz), which are the same size as the original. In addition, the way the surgical blade cuts the hair does not create the illusion of thicker hair. There is no downtime.
What is a Chemical Peel and how does it work?
A chemical peel is a treatment where a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers of the dermis. Chemical peels are a great way to improve the skin’s texture, radiance, reduce wrinkles, decongest pores, treat acne-prone skin and help with fine lines. Chemical peels are available in three strengths: superficial, medium and deep. Your concerns and the type of peel you select will determine how much improvement your skin receives. Multiple treatments are recommended for best results.

Lashes & Brows
Our brows and lashes are important! We all know that our lashes, and brows, play an important role in our overall aesthetic. Our brows and lashes are just as important as our hair. The illusion of a fuller brow or lash tint can make them appear longer and fuller by coloring the hair follicles, from tip to base.
A lash lift can take it to the next level. Semi permanent curls can be achieved with this procedure that can last for up to six weeks. Don’t use mascara or curler on your lashes. Instead, save your time by using a lash/brow pigment and/or lash lifting.
Do you have a busy schedule and don’t want to spend time on lash tints or extensions? Try some Latisse! This daily at-home treatment can make your lashes longer, thicker, and darker in as little as 8 weeks.
